⚠️ TRAFFIC/CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: For the Week of 8/25/25

Valley Road/Hwy 6 Roundabout

For the first part of next week (week of 8/25), a one-way detour will be in place for all eastbound Hwy 6 traffic west of the new roundabout (see detour map/red X’s below).

• Timing: Each day, the detour will begin after the morning/school traffic rush and remain in place through the day and early evening. Hwy 6 will then reopen late each evening and stay open through the following morning’s rush.

• Route: Eastbound Hwy 6 traffic will be detoured to Railroad Ave. → 2nd St. → Eagle St. → back to Hwy 6.

Sidewalk construction around the new roundabout is now complete, and pedestrian routes are fully open.

🚦 Reminder: Please drive slowly, stay alert, and watch for workers, flaggers, and pedestrians.

River View Sewer Express Line Improvement

Phase I (Porphyry): Paving work has been rescheduled for mid- to late next week (week of August 25).

Phase II (River View): Utility locating and surveying will continue next week, with trench milling also rescheduled for the week of August 25.

Please note: No project work will take place on Labor Day, Monday, September 1.

New Park Playground Equipment

Some playground equipment at Gypsum Estates Park, Quail Run Park, and Buckhorn Sports Complex is being removed and replaced with new, upgraded equipment. Crews began removing the old equipment this past week, and installation of the new equipment is scheduled for the week of August 25.
