Safe Streets for All - Gypsum Safety Action Plan
The Town of Gypsum invites all residents and those who work in the community to share their feedback on traffic and pedestrian safety concerns throughout the town.
In 2024, Gypsum received a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to develop a Safety Action Plan. This plan is designed to reduce traffic fatalities and serious injuries on local roads. By combining data analysis with community input, the Safety Action Plan will help identify and prioritize roadway safety improvements that benefit all road users, including drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
We want to hear from you. As you think about how you travel around Gypsum, consider:
-
Do you have any safety concerns?
-
Have you been involved in, or witnessed, a crash or near-miss?
-
Are there areas where new or improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities are needed—such as sidewalks, ADA ramps, crosswalks, bike lanes, or multi-use paths?
Community members are encouraged to visit the project website to complete a brief survey and use the interactive map to pinpoint specific safety concerns. You’ll also have the opportunity to share your feedback in person during Gypsum Daze on July 18 and 19.
Visit the project website at the link below to share your input and help make Gypsum’s streets safer for everyone!
