Chris Janson to Headline Gypsum Daze 2025 Concert
with Opener Mackenzie Carpenter
Get ready for a BIG night of country music and small-town fun! The Town of Gypsum is excited to announce award-winning country music artist, producer, and songwriter Chris Janson as the headliner for the 2025 Gypsum Daze concert, with rising country artist Mackenzie Carpenter kicking off the show. The concert will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Lundgren Amphitheater.
Returning to tradition, Gypsum Daze is going back to a one-night concert format after four years of hosting two nights of music. “We’re excited to bring the community together for one incredible evening of music, memories, and celebration like it’s been in the past,” says Briar Schreiber, the Town of Gypsum’s Event Manager. “Chris Janson’s high-energy performance is the perfect way to celebrate Gypsum’s small-town spirit in a big way!”
Chris Janson, a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, best known for his true-to-self anthems, five of which are #1 hits: "Buy Me A Boat" (5x Platinum), "Fix A Drink" (Platinum), "Good Vibes" (Platinum), "All I Need Is You," "Done" (Gold), and ACM award-winning “Drunk Girl,” - will bring his a contagious energy and heartfelt connection with fans to Gypsum Daze 2025. The Grand Ole Opry member has also been awarded twice with the prestigious NSAI “Top 10 Songs I Wish I’d Written” award, an ACM Award, and an iHeart Radio “Country Song of The Year” award, in addition to numerous nominations from ACM and CMA. While newcomer Mackenzie Carpenter, with her fresh sound and vibrant storytelling, will get the Gypsum Daze concert party started with songs like “Country Queen,” “Don’t Mess With Exes,” and “I Wish You Would (feat Midland)”.

Exciting Changes to the 2025 Gypsum Daze Weekend
In addition to the return to one concert night, Friday, July 18 will be packed with fun for all ages! Afternoon festivities begin with the Friday Free Bounce House Zone at Town Hall Park, offering plenty of energy-burning excitement for the kids at no cost, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Also new for 2025 is a full carnival experience! Thanks to Brown’s Amusements, Gypsum Daze will feature rides and games for all ages at Gypsum’s Municipal Campus. Last year’s carnival included rides only for small children, but this year everyone (adults, teens & littles) can join the fun. Plus, it’s affordable — unlimited ride wristbands are just $10 per person, per day!

Later Friday evening, the Youth Talent Show returns to the Lundgren Stage, followed by a FREE Outdoor Movie. Between the two events, don’t miss an entertaining and lighthearted intermission set with the comical and energetic Uncle E, Gypsum’s beloved Gypsum Daze event announcer.
The Gypsum Daze weekend features a wide variety of family activities (many of which are FREE) and exciting events, including: a Kid’s Fishing Derby, Deadlift Competition, Pickleball Tournament, Youth Talent Show, Free Outdoor Movie, Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast, 5K Run/Walk, Parade, Superintendent’s Revenge Golf Tournament, Classic Car Show, Horseshoe Tournament, Family Shooting Sports BBQ, Jalapeño Eating Contest, Carnival and Food Trucks, all leading up to a boot-stompin’ live Country Music Concert.
