As the temporary roundabout is implemented, motorists must be vigilant about reading all posted construction signs and following flagger instructions when traveling through the construction zone. The red lines and black arrows on the diagram below show the traffic pattern and flow around the temporary roundabout - which is really more of an oval to clear the construction zone.
Be prepared for intermittent flagger control stops, particularly during peak traffic times when flaggers try to keep traffic moving to minimize backups on the off-ramp. As always, please slow down in the construction zone to keep our crews and other motorists safe.

Crews will continue with some minor cleanup, striping, and road marking work (arrows, crosswalks, etc.) over the next two weeks. Lane shifts and flagger controlled stops may be necessary when this work occurs (during non-peak traffic times).
Please note the new traffic patterns and speed limits now in place for Hwy 6. Speed limit specifics are in the 2nd graphic below or at this link.
We anticipate this project coming to an end shortly after Labor Day - Hooray! We appreciate the community's patience throughout the project. Thank you.

Minor concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk work will continue next week. Per the door hangers distributed by Town Staff, residents along the South side of Eagle Street are asked to park on the North side of the street through Tuesday, August 27 to allow the concrete time to cure. Following concrete work, crews will prep for asphalt, which is scheduled for the second week in September.
