Work in segments 5 & 4 and through the Cooley Mesa Rd/Hwy 6 intersection is nearly complete and paving crews are moving on to segment 3 (the area just west of the Cooley Mesa Rd/Hwy 6 intersection.) Please note the new 45 MPH speed limit now in place for Hwy 6, East of the Cooley Mesa Rd. intersection to the Gypsum/Eagle Town boundary.
While crews are working on segment 3 next week, all Hwy 6 traffic, both east and westbound, will be detoured to Cooley Mesa Rd. to Jules Dr. to Hwy 6, and vice versa (see detour map below).
Please continue adjust your commute accordingly and take it slow while traveling through construction zones to help keep the road crews' and other motorists safe. Thank you.

Preliminary construction work is complete and crews are beginning utility work the week of 8/5/24. Trenching necessary for the utility work will cause intermittent traffic stops with flagger control next week. However, most of that work will be done during non-peak traffic hours. During peak traffic times, flaggers will keep traffic moving around the temporary roundabout to minimize backups on the off-ramp.
Please remember to slow down and obey all traffic/construction signs and flaggers in the construction zone.

Crews have completed all sewer service connections and are working on replacing the irrigation lines. Grading work for the roadway and sidewalk has also started and will continue the week of 8/5/24. Concrete work for the sidewalk is estimated to begin the following week. When the sidewalk concrete work begins, residents along Eagle Street will be asked to park on the North side of the street. This is to allow the concrete time to cure. Town staff will distribute door hangers to residents along Eagle Street next week with more details about the street parking during concrete work.
