Crews have completed paving in segment 5 and will continue to work on paving in segment 4 through the Cooley Mesa Rd./Hwy 6 intersection the week of 7/29/24. Guardrail and striping will also occur next week in segment 5. Brief, intermittent one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic stops will be necessary during the striping process.
The following detours will be used next week, depending on the construction progress and schedule. Signage will indicate when these detours will be in place.
Detour #1—McGregor Dr.: This detour will be in place when the Hwy 6/Cooley Mesa Rd. intersection is closed for paving. All east and westbound vehicles will be detoured from McGregor Dr. to Lindbergh Dr. to Cooley Mesa Rd. to Jules Dr. and vice versa.
Detour #2 - Cooley Mesa Rd.: When crews are working in segment 3, just past the Cooley Mesa Rd./Hwy 6 intersection and the intersection is open, all Hwy 6 traffic, both east and westbound, will be detoured Cooley Mesa Rd. to Jules Dr. to Hwy 6, and vice versa.
Please adjust your commute accordingly and take it slow while traveling through construction zones to help keep the road crews' and other motorists safe. Thank you.

Work at the I-70 North Ramp will begin next week and is expected to last three months. The project will consist of a two-lane roundabout, widening the westbound off-ramp to two lanes and re-striping across the I-70 overpass. During peak traffic times flaggers will prioritize minimizing backups on the off ramp.
All accesses will remain open during construction. Please slow down and obey all traffic/construction signs and flaggers in the construction zone.
