Traffic impacts along HWY 6 will continue the week of 6/10/24 when milling of the road surface in Segment 5 begins. The Eagle Valley Trail bike path from the Gypsum/Eagle Town boundary, west to Cooley Mesa Road, remains closed as well.
Traffic control in the construction zone will consist of reduced speeds and lane shifts with flaggers, allowing two lanes to remain open during the majority of construction. However, expect periods of single-lane operation with flagger control where the roadway is narrow next week. Please adjust your commute accordingly and as always, we encourage motorists to keep the safety and well-being of road crews and other motorists in mind while traveling through construction zones.

This project gets underway the week of 6/10/24 with milling work at the east end of Eagle Street (at Red Hill Road), moving west in segments toward the cemetery. Tree removal work will also take place this week.
The project area of Eagle Street will remain open, with one-lane access for local traffic only. Residents along Eagle Street should have all trash out on Trash Day, NO LATER THAN 7:00 AM, as the town trash trucks will pick up along Eagle Street first to avoid interference with the construction later in the morning. Please do not be late.
