Greeley Spring Clean-Up is Here!
Drop off appliances, furniture, mattresses, scrap metal, and more on Friday and Saturday, May 8–9, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the site west of 14th Avenue and A Street. Fees are $25 per carload or pickup truck, $35 per trailer. Bring a valid Greeley photo ID — this event is for city residents only.
New this year: all materials must be unbagged and fully visible at entry. No household trash, no enclosed trailers or box trucks. Check the full guidelines at GreeleyCo.gov before you load up — some items have separate drop-off locations for hazardous waste, green waste, and electronics.
Now is the also the Time to Tidy Your Yard
Spring has officially sprung in Greeley, and so has the urge to tidy up.
Spring cleaning isn’t just indoors. With warmer days ahead, it’s a great time to step outside, freshen up the yard and get your property ready for the season.
Three quick reminders from Code Compliance:
-
Tall grass: Keep lawns and landscaping trimmed. This helps reduce pests, lowers fire risk, and improves visibility.
-
Weeds: Please don’t let weeds take over—staying on top of them helps keep your property and neighborhood looking its best.
-
Outdoor storage: If goods, materials, or vehicles are stored outside for more than 24 hours, it may be considered outdoor storage. Be sure items are stored properly or screened as required to stay in compliance.
When yard work and Spring Clean-Up happen in the same weekend, beautiful things happen! Remember, you can take Green Waste to Greeley Organic Waste Center at 1150 N. 25th Avenue. Thanks for doing your part to keep Greeley clean, safe and beautiful!

West Greeley Oversight Committee
The Oversight Committee met on April 30, 2026 to begin the process of reviewing information and considering perspectives around the West Greeley project. This committee was created to take a closer look at the data (including financial numbers), to understand the constraints and to work through realistic options for what comes next.
Over the next several weeks, their discussions will help shape the recommendations brought back to City Council. Meetings are open to the public and include an opportunity for public comment. We encourage residents to review past meetings and attend future meetings. To see the April 30 meeting, click here.
Greeley Welcomes a New Playground at Brentwood Park
Brentwood Park’s new playground is already creating more than just a place to play. For two City of Greeley Parks staff members, Parks Crew Supervisor, Fred Lindeen and Park Tech, AJ Gonzalez, the project brought back memories of their own childhoods. Both attended Brentwood Middle School and spent time at the park growing up. Today, they help maintain the same space for the next generation of students and families.
That full-circle connection made the recent playground opening especially meaningful. As students climbed, played and explored the new equipment during recess, the staff members reflected on how the park has changed over the years and what it means to help care for a place that shaped part of their own childhood. The project highlights how neighborhood parks can connect generations and become a lasting point of pride for the community.
