June is Colorado Bike Month and whether you’re biking to work or enjoying the trails, your safety matters. As part of our commitment to employee wellbeing, we’re reminding everyone to practice smart summer bike habits. Always wear a helmet and don’t forget the sunscreen — even a quick ride can lead to sunburn.
Enjoy the ride, stay safe and make the most of Colorado Bike Month!

New Camping Rule in Greeley
On June 3, the Greeley City Council passed a new rule that limits camping and storing personal items outside in public areas. This new rule is meant to help keep our city cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for everyone.
Why this matters to you: As a city employee, especially if you work in parks, public works, or public safety, you may encounter these situations during your workday. Over the past two years, staff have spent more than 700 hours and the city has spent $155,000 cleaning up trash and abandoned items, particularly near rivers and trails. In some cases, these conditions have also created safety risks for both employees and the public.
