Greeley Set to Launch New Utility Billing Portal in Fall
Get ready, Greeley—something new is on the way to make paying your water utility bill easier!
Starting in November 2025, Greeley Water & Sewer Utilities will launch a new online billing system called the City of Greeley Utility Portal. This new system will help you pay bills and track your water use all in one place.
“The current billing system has been around since the 1990s, and it's time for an upgrade,” said Erik Dial, deputy director of utility finance and customer service. “Our team is working hard to make sure the change goes smoothly for everyone.”
Here are a few benefits of the new system:
-
Easy online payments: Set up automatic payments to avoid late fees or make one-time payments without enrolling in autopay.
-
Track water use in real-time: See how much water you use, manage your usage, and get alerts if there’s a leak.
-
Everything in one place: Say goodbye to multiple logins! View your bill, usage, and helpful tools all in one easy location.
Important: All customers who currently use automatic bill pay will need to sign up again with their new account number. Old accounts will not transfer to the new system. Customers who don't sign up for automatic bill pay will receive a paper bill.

LIFT UP Deadline Is May 31
Greeley residents who qualify can apply for the Low Income and Food Tax Program (LIFT) until May 31, 2025, to get up to $100 back in food tax relief.
Even better--if they qualify for LIFT, they can also get a one-time $150 credit on their water bill through the Utility Program (UP). The deadline to apply for UP is December 31, 2025.
To find out if you qualify, visit greeleygov.com/LIFT-UP or stop by City Hall at 1000 10th Street during regular business hours.

Turf Project Gains Momentum
If you’ve driven down 11th Avenue near the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), you may have noticed a big landscaping project underway.
UNC and Greeley’s water team worked together to replace turf with drought-friendly landscaping that will save about 2.6 million gallons of water a year.
In April, workers put in new irrigation and a concrete walking path. This summer, they’ll build stone walls and plant water-saving grasses. The project should be fully finished by Spring 2027.
