Greeley Mayor Encourages Residents to Conserve Water
Mayor John Gates is calling on every Greeley resident to make a pledge to conserve water in the Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation, sponsored by the Wyland Foundation.
The Challenge: Small Changes, Big Impact The idea is simple. By pledging to make a few easy adjustments in your life to conserve water, residents can help preserve one of our most precious resources. Whether it’s using a refillable water bottle, turning off the faucet while washing your hands, or reporting water leaks in the workplace, it all adds up.
"Water conservation shouldn’t be limited to one month per year," Mayor Gates said. "All we have to do is pledge to make a few small changes in our daily lives to conserve water. If we do that, we will all be winners."
How to Join Head over to mywaterpledge.com, where you can take the pledge anytime in April. Simply enter Greeley as your city, and you'll automatically be part of the competition. Check back regularly to watch Greeley climb the ranks as more and more residents take the pledge to conserve water.

The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program is offering free soil testing for lead, from 9 a.m. to noon on April 19 at the Greeley Summer Farmer’s Market at Zoe’s Café and Events.
Learn more about the city's lead protection program and use an interactive map to see the material of your water service line at greeleygov.com/leadprotection.
