HOA Workshop: Eight Meeting Mistakes and Fair Housing Laws
Serving on a homeowners' association (HOA) board comes with important legal duties related to following the community's governing documents. To support the successful operation of HOAs, the City of Greeley hosts free workshops in conjunction with Altitude Community Law.
Join us September 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Family FunPlex for "Eight Meeting Mistakes and Fair Housing Laws." Altitude will discuss fair housing laws, typical violations, what HOAs should do to comply, and consequences for those who don't. Learn more about the session and RSVP.
Algal Blooms Can Affect Taste and Odor of Drinking Water
Summer temperatures provide an excellent breeding ground for algal blooms in standing water—like the reservoirs Greeley uses for its drinking water.
The algal blooms release compounds into the water that can sometimes give off an earthy taste and odor. Despite the unwanted taste or odor, the treated water is safe to drink.
If you experience a taste or odor in your drinking water, call the Water Taste and Odor hotline at 970-336-4097 or email waterquality@greeleygov.com.
