SWGMG Newsletter July 2025
The state has made it through fiscal year end and hopefully, everyone survived! It's now time to start fresh.
While there's a lot of change and uncertainty happening at the federal level, we're seeing a new batch of state funded grants starting; and we want to remind you of the OSC grant policies and best practices you can find on the Grants website. The website is currently undergoing some minor changes, but we are working hard to ensure we have relevent information to assist in managing your grants.
We're also in the process of updating and creating grant policies to provide better clarification and distinction between state and federally funded grants. Be on the lookout for surveys and information gathering (first one is below) as we work through these policies.
Don't forget, the August SWGMG meeting is coming up August 20 at 9:00 am. Please use the link in the "Upcoming Events" section below. We'll send out the agenda via this newsletter in a couple of weeks.

The Office of the State Controller is seeking information regarding the use of Negotiated Indirect Cost Rates NICRA) and De Minimis Rates for subrecipients of state funded grant programs. Please complete this short survey by Friday, August 1, 2025 COB.
There are no wrong or right answers, as the OSC is only seeking information to assist in updating current state policies. Thank you for you input!
