SWGMG Newsletter June 2025
Thank you so much to those of you that were able to attend the 2025 SWGMG Summit, it was great to see all your faces! The OSC Grant Office worked hard to put together two days of grant management best practices.
Each day we focused on grant best practices that are relevant and in line with state requirements. The first day we focused on interal controls, and had a review of what OIT has to offer to state agencies in the way of technology solutions. We ended the day learning about Project Profiles and a great follow up presentation from CDOT regarding were they are in the One Grant project. The second day started with CDLE presentating on how to create a great statement of work for grant agreements, followed by best practices around time and effort. We rounded up the SWGMG Grant Summit with an extended presentation by KPMG regarding tactics for tracking federal funding based performance.
We want to extend our sincere THANKS to all of our presenters. They took time out of their busy schedules to help us create a meaningful Summit.
Slide decks from the 2025 SWGMG Summit can be found in the 2025 SWGMG Grant Summit folder.

Federal Audit Clearinghouse
The OSC is requesting feedback regarding the following email request:
To: State Auditors, Comptrollers, and Treasurers
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has reached out to NASACT for state use cases of the Federal Audit Clearinghouse. The FAC serves as the repository of record designated by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget where non-federal entities must transmit information required by Uniform Guidance. Primarily, this includes the audit report of a recipient’s Single Audit if they expended more than $1,000,000 in federal funds. The FAC is also named in the Financial Management Risk Reduction Act and will be used to identify broad risks to federal awards. NASACT uses the Federal Audit Clearinghouse to track audit submissions from member states and to answer member or other stakeholder questions.
GSA would like to hear how states are using (or not using) the FAC whether it be for subrecipient monitoring, grant research, audit research, audit risk assessment or otherwise. If other agencies in your state are using the FAC, we’d like to hear about that as well. Additionally, were the FAC to become only a repository, with limited querying ability or additional functionality, how (or would) any of your current processes be impacted?
Please provide any responses to Jeffrey Kahn (OSC) by Thursday, June 5.
