News for the Statewide Procurement Community from the State Purchasing & Contracts Office
From the CPO
I'm excited to share that registration is open for this year's State Price Agreement education events! In an effort to reach more price agreement users, we're holding multiple one-day events in Denver, Glenwood Springs, and online. These events are free and will include not only information on cooperative purchasing opportunities, but also presentations from the Governor’s Office of Information Technology discussing Colorado’s new accessibility requirements and accessibility in procurement and the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) sharing information on the benefits and resources available to both state and local government procurement professionals.
In order to increase our reach, I'm asking all state, local, and higher education procurement staff to share the announcement with your program staff and CCard administrators/cardholders and encourage your staff to attend. We'll be sharing a lot of valuable information and I want to ensure we have as much participation as possible.
See below for more details and a link to register, and I hope to see you at one of the events!
Sincerely,
Sherri Maxwell, CPPB Chief Procurement Officer
 Price Agreement Month
Register and join us in person or online! This year, we're holding three events to reach as many price agreement users as possible. Each event will have the same content, so choose the one that works best for you. Visit our event webpage for more information and the full agenda!
What is Price Agreement Month? This is your chance to learn more about these statewide contracts as we cover the basics of cooperative purchasing and explore some of our most popular contract categories.
Which Price Agreement categories will be covered?
- Advertising & Marketing
- Automobile Rental
- Body Armor
- Cloud Solutions
- Copiers & Managed Print Services
- EV Charging Stations
- IT Research & Advisory Services
- IT Vendor Managed Services
- Procurement Acquisition Services
- Software
- Temporary Personnel Services
- Temporary Personnel Services Medical
- Training, Assessments & Development Programs
- Translation Services

- Vehicles
What other topics will be covered? We’ll also have speakers from the Governor’s Office of Information Technology discussing Colorado’s new accessibility requirements and accessibility in procurement and the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) sharing information on the benefits and resources available to both state and local government procurement professionals.
Who should attend? If you make purchases for a program, have a pcard, or work in procurement (purchasing and/or contracts!) for the state, an institution of higher education, local government, or a certified nonprofit, these events are a great chance to learn and ask questions!
Do all three events cover the same information? Yes. This year, we are offering the same content on three different days to allow as many people as possible to attend and learn with us.
A very special thank you to our partner, the Rocky Mountain Governmental Purchasing Organization - RMGPA!
Contract & Grant Forms Updates
From the SPCO
An updated Small Dollar Grant Award Terms and Conditions form is now available on our website.
We have also remediated two contract templates (Personal Services and Main Task Order Contract) and three modification tools (Option Letter, Task Order, and Amendment), now available on our website. We will continue to remediate documents for accessibility and update our website accordingly. Please ensure you always pull the most recent versions of contracts directly from our website.
It's important to remember that agencies/IHEs are prohibited from making any changes to the CCU templates posted on our website.
If you have questions regarding the remediation timelines of other templates (Construction/Real Estate, Grants), contact the creators directly.
Please reach out to Barb Musick with questions.
Exec PAC Update
Congratulations to Sarah Fischman (Department of Education), who was nominated and voted in for another term on the Executive Procurement Advisory Council (Exec PAC) as a Group I representative and to Karen Picariello (Department of Revenue), who was appointed as the At Large member. Both women bring valuable experience and knowledge, and the State procurement community is lucky to have them on the council!
REMINDER: Accessibility & Procurement
As the State's accessibility standards continue to evolve, its important that we all stay up-to-date on the latest developments. OIT, who is responsible for these standards, has a webpage dedicated to Accessibility for Procurement. They also publish a monthly accessibility newsletter, which you can subscribe to here.
Accessibility requirements are also included in the SPCO's solicitation and contract templates.
