Is your HOA community looking for ways to reduce water consumption, lower landscape maintenance costs, and enhance property value? Water conservation and creating resilient landscapes are becoming increasingly vital in Colorado and the West as HOA boards and community managers strive to upkeep their communities.
For this month’s HOA Forum, the HOA Information and Resource Center is pleased to host Sheila Prentice, Sustainable Landscape County Specialist with Colorado State University Extension, as guest speaker. This session is ideal for HOAs and Developers (as well as individual homeowners) and will cover:
- The benefits and cost-savings of converting traditional lawns to waterwise landscaping.
- How to identify ideal spaces for turf conversion in your community.
- Guidance on selecting waterwise plants, including Plant Select recommendations.
- Information on hydro-zoning.
- Ways to find incentives, grants, and use volunteers to save money on conversions.
In addition, the HOA Information Officer will discuss recent important legislation impacting waterwise landscaping in common interest communities.
Please join us for an informative and educational presentation and Q&A session on the considerations involved in converting parts of your traditional lawns (or existing gardens) to waterwise landscaping on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM (MT).
All are welcome to attend.
