Notice of Electrical Inspection Fee Decrease
All electrical inspection fees will decrease by 38% on August 1, 2022. State law requires fees to be set so that revenue is sufficient to cover program costs. As such, fees are increased when expenditures increase and reduced when expenditures decrease. A list of fees may be found below.
The overall decrease is due to a variety of factors, including fluctuations in legal and personnel services and the overall electrical inspection fund balance.
There is no change to the cost of plumbing inspection fees.
Processing times for permit applications submitted via U.S. mail may be delayed by up to 5-7 business days. We are encouraging all individuals requesting an electrical or plumbing inspection to submit their permit applications using our online system. Online permit submissions are processed in the system immediately upon payment.
