Effective April 27, 2020, Governor Jared Polis issued Executive Order D 2020 045 allowing for the Limited Recommencement of Voluntary or Elective Surgeries and Procedures in Colorado.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), based on the Governor’s directive, and as amended and extended by Executive Order D 2020 080, issued Public Health Order (PHO) 20-29 and amended and extended the order a second time on May 26, 2020 to provide details of certain restrictions and safety guidance for dental settings related to the limited recommencement of voluntary or elective surgeries.
The changes set forth in the amended public health order, along with updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and others, are reflected in a revised Guidance for Dentists/Dental Hygienists as a Critical Business Within Healthcare Operations.
