Dear Healthcare Licensee:
The attached Health Alert Network (HAN) information provides important, timely messages to the public health and healthcare communities. The Division of Professions and Occupations is sending this courtesy communication on behalf of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), which produces these documents.
The latest HAN communication, dated March 26, 2020, contains updated interim guidance on COVID-19, including:
- Information for healthcare professionals on how to provide isolation and quarantine instructions to their patients at the time of diagnosis;
- How to report a suspected or confirmed outbreak in a long-term care facility;
- Updated information on testing prioritization;
- Updated recommendations for release from isolation for the general population, health care workers, and hospitalized patients ;
- Instructions for submitting specimens to the state public health laboratory.
