Effective January 1, 2020, there have been numerous changes made to the Colorado Real Estate Commission standard contracts and forms, and brokers are encouraged to take a comprehensive contracts and forms review course before years’ end or as early as possible in 2020. It is also recommended to review the redline versions of the contracts and forms that have changed. It is essential that brokers remember they are required to be competent on all contracts and forms that they are using.
Importance of attending a comprehensive new contracts class.
The 2020 Annual Commission Update (ACU) course will NOT be providing a detailed analysis of the contracts and forms changes. Brokers should take a separate new contracts and forms review course as soon as possible to ensure they are competent in the use of all contracts and forms utilized in their practice. The ACU course is not a contracts and forms course, rather as per statute it must address new statutes, rules, and practices affecting real estate.
