The Division of Insurance is Seeking participants for the Primary Care Payment Reform Collaborative
House Bill 19-1233 establishes a Primary Care Payment Reform Collaborative (the Collaborative) to be led by the Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI).
The Collaborative will focus on developing strategies for increased investments in primary care that deliver the right care in the right place at the right time, and advise in the development of affordability standards and targets for carrier investments in primary care.
Participants in the Collaborative will be asked to commit 4-6 hours per month for the first year (July 2019-June 2020). In particular, the DOI would like people from the following groups for representation on the Collaborative.
- Health care providers, including primary care providers
- Health care consumers
- Employers that purchase health insurance for employees and employers that offer self-insured health benefit plans
- Health insurers, including those that contract with HCPF as managed care entities
- Experts in health insurance actuarial analysis
As data show that racial/ethnic minorities, immigrants, LGBTQ individuals, and other marginalized communities often experience barriers in access to primary care in Colorado, the DOI encourages members of these groups to apply for participation.
Additional information, including a link to apply, can be found on the Division's website at the link below:
This would be a volunteer effort, thus participants will not be reimbursed for their participation.
- Application period: June 3 - 14.
- Selection of members for the Collaborative: Late June.
- First meeting: Early July
