The Colorado Real Estate Commission welcomes new member, Carolyn Ann Rogers. Ms. Rogers will serve a three-year term through April 12, 2020.

The Board of Real Estate Appraisers is introducing two new members to the Board; Kristy Ann McFarland and Bonnie Deane Roerig. Both new members will serve a three-year term through July 1, 2020.

The Conservation Easement Oversight Commission welcomes Timothy “Tim” Graham. Mr. Graham will serve a three-year term through July 1, 2020.
The Colorado Real Estate Commission (the “Commission”) is a five member Commission that makes policy decisions, considers licensing matters, reviews complaints and takes disciplinary action against real estate brokers. The five Commission members consist of two (2) members of the public at large and three (3) real estate brokers, with not less than five (5) year’s experience in the Colorado real estate industry, and one (1) of the real estate brokers having substantial experience in property management. The Commission members serve a three-year term.

Carolyn Ann Rogers, has worked in the Colorado real estate industry since 1978, quickly finding her way to a leadership position amongst her peers. By 1981, Rogers was serving on the Pikes Peak Board of Realtors Education Committee. As she continued to grow in the Colorado real estate industry, she found her calling working in property management. By 2001, Rogers was appointed as the secretary of the Colorado Springs Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers, “NARPM.” A year later, in 2002, Ms. Rogers was appointed the president of NARPM’s Colorado Springs chapter, and then in 2011 she was appointed to NARPM’s national executive board. The Commission is excited to have Ms. Rogers as a member and values her property management expertise.
The Real Estate Appraiser Board (the “Board”) consists of seven members that make decisions concerning rulemaking, policy, licensing matters, complaints, and disciplinary actions brought against real estate appraisers. The Board is comprised of three appraisers, a county assessor, a commercial banker with real estate lending experience, a public member, and an AMC representative. The Board members serve a three-year term.

Kristy Ann McFarland, has lead Gunnison County government's assessing and appraising needs as the elected County Assessor over the last decade. Responsible for County-wide property valuation on a biennial basis in accordance with state law, McFarland has led the assessor’s office through valuation growth and decline periods, developing a strong understanding of the appraisal industry during that time. Kristy’s background and education in computer and management of information systems has led her to tackle the traditional and new IT skills needed in appraising. Ms. Mcfarland is excited to bring a western Colorado perspective to regional and statewide appraiser initiatives and efforts. She will be serving on the Board as the county assessor representative.

Bonnie Dean Roerig, has developed her experience and qualifications as an appraiser over the past four decades. Since 1970, Bonnie has been appraising throughout the metro Denver area and other locations throughout the state. In 1980 she became the owner of Bonnie Roerig & Associates and in 2003 incorporated her business. Along with her professional acclaims Roeig is an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor, and has played a significant role with the Appraisal Institute serving as the Colorado chapter president in 1990 and as a national board of directors member from 1995-1996. Ms. Roerig’s years of experience in peer review, grievance matters and appraiser investigatory functions lends well to the functions of the Board of Real Estate Appraisers. Bonnie will be serving on the Board as one of the three appraiser representatives.
The Conservation Easement Oversight Commission (the “Oversight Commission”) gives advice and recommendations to the Division of Real Estate on the certification of easement holders and appraisals of conservation easements, and reviews applications for tax credit certificates and optional preliminary advisory opinions. The Oversight Commission is comprised of nine members: three permanent members from state agencies with responsibilities for conservation, and six members appointed by the Governor for three-year terms.

Timothy “Tim” Graham, of Windsor, CO, is an associate appraiser for Shannon & Associates Real Estate Appraisers & Consultants. Over the last 38 years Tim has been appraising a wide variety of commercial, industrial, agricultural, recreational and special use properties. Tim’s experience in the appraising industry led him to positions as a Senior Review Appraiser with the U.S. Forest Service, Chief Appraiser of Merabank in Phoenix, Arizona, and Manager of the Commercial Division at Appraisal Research Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Graham is looking forward to working with the Conservation Easement Oversight Commission, helping to aid in the protection and conservation of land for the enjoyment and well being of current and future generations.
