Tiny Homes
Did you know that a tiny home is not the same as a tiny house? As of July 1, 2023, by the state definition, a tiny home:
- Is permanently attached to a vehicle chassis
- Is under 400 square feet
- Is a complete dwelling unit designed and built for long term occupancy
- May be attached to the ground via a temporary or permanent foundation
Under this definition, recreational vehicles (RVs), park models, or any vehicle or structure designed for seasonal use are not tiny homes. The biggest differences between a tiny home and a tiny house are that they have a permanent chassis and can be placed on a permanent or temporary foundation system.
