Abatement Forms
The writable 1-year and 2-year abatement forms on the Division website have been replaced with read-only PDF forms. Updates to the forms, to account for the legislative value adjustments, have caused technical issues. We are continuing to revise the forms and will announce when the writable documents are available.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

State Assessed Assessment Changes
The Division notified counties in the bulletin dated February 5, 2025, that, per a stipulation agreement, some State Assessed valuations for 2024 have been modified. An abatement form should be completed and submitted to the county treasurer. If a state-assessed property has an abatement refund over $10,000, it is not necessary to send these abatements to the Division. The decision comes from the District Court for the City of County of Denver, in which the Division was involved in the settlement agreement.
The Division will report the revised values for all counties impacted to the Department of Education.
