Important Update: Changes to Date of Maximum Medical Improvement

The Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation (DOWC) has an important update regarding the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Claims Release 3.1, specifically related to DN0070 – Date of Maximum Medical Improvement.

Effective October 13, 2026, there is a change for DN0070. In the SROI 02 report, the Reportable Change column for A–Add, U-Update, and R-Remove will be marked “Y.” This update will be available beginning October 14, 2026. When a 0% Permanent Impairment rating is received, and you are not reporting any other information, please submit an SROI 02. This should include the Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI) date and the Permanent Impairment segment indicating a 0% rating.

The DOWC will publish an updated version of the EDI Claims Release 3.1 Requirement Tables at a later date. If you have any questions, the DOWC EDI Support Team is available at codowcedi@verisk.com.
