The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DOWC) is aware of a delay in the processing and acceptance of new Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) 3.1 submissions into CoComp. We understand that this is affecting many carriers and third-party administrators (TPAs), who may not yet be seeing claims data submitted after July 8.
The current estimation is that the backlog of submissions should be processed and accepted on Monday, July 27.
We understand that these delays affect claims processing timelines. The DOWC is acknowledges this impact, and the Director’s office will look at the totality of the circumstances prior to asserting any penalties.
Please note: the filing date is the date that Verisk receives the EDI transaction. That will not change due to the delays, but will be accounted for by the DOWC as described above.
The DOWC is grateful for your collaboration and willingness to work with us during this period of transition. If you have questions about CoComp, you can contact the Customer Service team at 303-318-8700 or cdle_wccustomer_service@state.co.us.
If you have questions specific to EDI 3.1, please visit the EDI webpage and contact Verisk support at codowcedi@verisk.com.
