Pilot Partner Needed: FAMLI Direct Connect for Providers
FAMLI is in the early stages of exploring Direct Connect in order to simplify how health care providers certify Serious Health Condition (SHC) information for patients taking leave.
Explore a potential Direct Connect partnership
As part of this exploratory work, FAMLI is engaging with prospective health care partners to understand feasibility, operational considerations, and provider needs.
While no pilot has been finalized, we are interested in hearing from organizations that:
- Frequently complete Serious Health Condition certifications
- Use electronic health record systems at scale (including EPIC)
- Are interested in informing the design of future electronic workflows
Input gathered during this discovery phase will help FAMLI assess pilot viability, structure, timeline, and provider workflows to be supported.
Interested in a potential partnership?
Email FAMLI to discuss options today
Engagement at this stage helps ensure any next steps are informed by a broad range of provider perspectives — no current commitment is necessary.
Thank you for helping FAMLI help you!

 My FAMLI+ Updates
Recent enhancements to your Healthcare Provider portal experience.
Fewer Email Notifications for Claim Certifications
To reduce inbox clutter and make it easier to focus on patient care, health care providers will no longer receive a separate email each time a claim is certified in My FAMLI+. All certified claims remain fully visible in the provider portal—without additional “New Message” emails sent to your inbox.
- Reduced unnecessary email volume.
- Actionable messages emphasized over others.
- Full visibility into certified claims within My FAMLI+ maintained.
Smarter Notifications When Practice Addresses Are Updated
To make managing practice information clearer and more reliable, When an additional practice address is removed, health care providers will now see a confirmation pop-up when an additional practice address is removed. This update reflects provider feedback requesting clearer safeguards when managing practice details.
- Prevents accidental address deletions.
- Confirms changes before they take effect.
Consistent Pregnancy Date Field Now Available
To make pregnancy-related claim certification clearer and more consistent, health care providers now see one consistent field labeled “Delivery date / due date / approximate date of pregnancy loss,” regardless of complication status.
- Eliminates confusion about where to enter pregnancy dates.
- Ensures critical information is captured consistently.
- Reduces follow-up requests and rework.
