September Spotlight: Amid Growing Healthcare Uncertainty, Colorado FAMLI Protects Families and Paychecks
Headlines about health insurance rate hikes, hospital closures, and government spending cuts have many Coloradans wondering whether health care will be there when they need it, and whether they can afford it.
We know that when health coverage shrinks, families often end up delaying care, dipping into savings, or taking on debt. We also know that for caregivers, the strain is especially compounded — which makes stable, dependable paid leave matter more than ever.
That’s why the FAMLI Division is doing its part to protect affordability.

Know Your FAMLI: Delegated Staff Members
My FAMLI+ allows you to add an administrator or supporting medical staff to your account as a delegate.
Having a delegated staff member makes certifying your patients easy! If you're registered and have verified your license in My FAMLI+, you or your delegated staff member will provide an elevated patient experience by eliminating paperwork and expediting the paid medical leave approval process. This can result in faster claim-processing times for your patients, allowing them to focus on their prescribed treatment plan, maintain their health insurance coverage, and receive partial wage replacement when they’re unable to work.
How many delegated staff members can I add to my account?
Health care providers are allowed to have an unlimited number of staff members (including nurses, medical assistants and office staff) to complete documentation in the My FAMLI+ portal on behalf of the licensed provider.
