July Spotlight: New My FAMLI+ Feature Helps You Stay Ahead of Deadlines
Your medical license might expire — but now, your ability to help patients access paid time away from work doesn’t have to.
Starting this month, the My FAMLI+ portal will alert you when your license is about to expire. You’ll get a notification right in your account message center and by email 30 days before the expiration date — so you can update it in time and avoid any disruptions to your claim certifications.
That means:
- No more surprise lapses.
- No delays for your patients.
- No need to log in just to check your license status.
Just follow the instructions in the alert and continue supporting your patients with the leave they need to rest and recover.
We’ve also made improvements for your patients who are taking intermittent medical leave — making it easier to accurately report leave hours within the required 30-day window!

Support Your Patients with Confidence – Become a Friend of FAMLI
Patients often turn to you with questions about FAMLI. Now, there’s a simple way to feel more prepared.
Our new, free Friend of FAMLI certification course gives you—and your staff—the tools to confidently guide patients through the FAMLI program. Whether it’s answering basic eligibility questions or helping them navigate the My FAMLI+ portal, you’ll be ready to support patient access to the care they need, when they need it most.
The training also sets your practice up for success, too. By becoming a Friend of FAMLI, you can:
|
-
Reduce Your Workload: By building your knowledge of FAMLI, you can quickly resolve common questions — so you spend less time troubleshooting the program, and more time helping your employees.
-
Streamline Services: Expertise in FAMLI allows you to move your clients through services quickly — saving time for both you and the individuals you’re helping.
-
Build Trust In Your Practice: A stronger company reputation expands your reach — and creates more equitable health outcomes, financial outlooks, and overall quality of life for yourself, your loved ones, and your clients.
This training takes only two hours and is now available four times a month.
Submit your application to have your instructor-led training scheduled today! And be sure to check our other resources in the Employer’s Toolkit.

Paid Leave Benefits Are Increasing — Without Raising Employer Costs
Starting July 1, your patients may receive a little more financial support while on leave.
Last month, the Director of the Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation issued the Maximum Benefits Order for 2025-2026. In it, the 2025-26 state average weekly wage (SAWW) was determined to be $1,534.94. This means that, effective July 1 of this year, the weekly FAMLI benefits max will increase to $1,381.45.
What this means for your patients: Covered Coloradans will have access to slightly higher paid leave benefits — while employer premium rates remain exactly the same.
This annual adjustment ensures Colorado’s paid leave program remains strong, responsive, and aligned with our growing economy — all while keeping the cost of business stable for employers.

 Vital Signs
Last month, Coloradans filed 7,839 medical leave claims — all made possible by providers like you. Thank you for helping patients get the time they need to heal and recover.
