The Office of Labor Market Information (LMI) has published the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) for 3rd quarter 2024.
In our last QCEW notice sent on December 19, 2024, we alerted you that the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) had made the decision to suppress Colorado’s 2nd quarter 2024 data. We’re pleased to share that the BLS is resuming publication of Colorado’s QCEW data.
The BLS will publish QCEW data tools and downloadable files for Colorado substate and industry employment and wage data for 2nd quarter 2024 on March 5, 2025. The BLS also confirmed they will publish Colorado’s 3rd quarter 2024 QCEW data on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, in alignment with its planned publication date.
Reminder: The QCEW program publishes a quarterly count of employment and wages reported by employers covering more than 95 percent of U.S. jobs available at the county and state levels by detailed industry.
The program produces a comprehensive tabulation of employment and wage information for workers covered by state unemployment insurance (UI) laws and federal workers covered by the Unemployment Compensation for Federal Employees (UCFE) program.
Fourth quarter 2024 data will be published on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
