Reminder: Quarterly wage reports and premium payments are due TODAY, April 30, 2024
Get your premium and wage reports ready. The reporting and payment deadline for quarterly payments is April 30, 2024. Remember, all businesses with employees must register in My FAMLI+ Employer to report wages, pay premiums, or apply for private plan approval.
Because we are in our peak reporting period and experiencing a high volume of submissions, you may experience longer processing times. You will receive email notifications once your files have been processed and when premium balances are calculated. We appreciate your patience during this busy period.

New Blog post: Here’s what happens now if you get a 2023 employer premium refund
Employers and workers alike contribute to the insurance fund, but employers were given the option to choose a private insurance carrier to provide coverage, instead of the FAMLI Division. Employers that chose an approved carrier by Oct. 31st, 2023, are getting refunds on the premiums they’d paid the FAMLI Division earlier in the year.

Employers & Third Party Administrators: Update your HR point of contact in My FAMLI+ Employer
Now that your employees can apply for FAMLI leave, don’t forget to add the contact information for your HR Benefits Manager in My FAMLI+ Employer.
This designated contact will be the go-to person who receives updates when an employee applies for FAMLI leave. This documentation will now also be delivered via email (in addition to a mailed letter). If a point of contact isn't provided for an HR Benefits Manager in My FAMLI+ Employer, the employee benefit documentation will be sent to the main email address and a mailing address for the account holder on file.
While you’re at it, don’t forget to make sure all of your contact information (including your email address) is up to date. For more information, please refer to Page 41 of the Employer User Guide on our My FAMLI+ Employer page.

Employers are asking
Q: What is the 2024 schedule of payment of premiums?
A: Both employers and employees have been paying into the fund since January 2023 through payroll deductions. Employers need to submit to the FAMLI Division within the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment both their share (if required) and their employee’s’ share of the premium through My FAMLI+ Employer at the end of each quarter. The 2024 premium payment schedule is:
- January 31, 2024
- April 30, 2024 (Upcoming)
- July 31, 2024
- October 31, 2024
Q: What is the anticipated time lapse between an employee filing for FAMLI benefits and the employer being notified of that leave?
A: Notifications are sent the next business day after the claim is submitted (and similarly for all other notifications such as claim approval/denial/update). The anticipated time is 5 business days or less. These notifications will be sent to the email address and the mailing address on file in My FAMLI+ Employer.
Q: What are the current payment options available?
Employers have several payment type options to submit their quarterly premium payments to the FAMLI Division:
- Online Payments through the My FAMLI+ Employer portal
- Online Bill Pay
- Payment via API
- ACH Credit
- Payment by Check
