FAMLI paid leave is here! Benefits are NOW available to most Colorado workers. Your patients have been busy applying for benefits and they can file their claims up to 30 days in advance of their planned leave. Applicants with approved claims are starting to take their time away from work, and the first round of benefit payments are going out this week.
Verified health care providers will receive a notification when one of your patients has applied for FAMLI benefits. You will need to log into My FAMLI+ to certify your patients’ claim. Watch our new how-to video to see how health care providers certify patients’ claims in My FAMLI+.
You can help make their experience seamless by registering and verifying your license in My FAMLI+, the online portal health care providers will use to certify their patients’ FAMLI claims. When Coloradans use My FAMLI+ to apply for medical care leave as part of Colorado’s new FAMLI program, they will need to identify their health care provider. If you, as their health care provider, are registered and verified, your patients will be able to easily find you in our system. This will make applying for benefits easier and will hasten the approval process.
