Marina Update: Adapting to Changing Water Levels
As the Dillon Reservoir water levels continue to change, the Dillon Marina team is hard at work making improvements to keep everyone safely connected to the water while minimizing disruptions.
On Monday, July 27, crews began lowering gangways to accommodate receding lake levels. We'll begin by installing new anchors on the lakebed and connecting shore cables to ensure continued safe access to the docks. To make the transition as smooth as possible, work will be completed in phases rather than all at once. Our rental dock will be the first area affected, and we'll keep gangways accessible from the top of the seawall for as long as conditions allow.
We're also making it easier to enjoy your day on the water. Soon, guests fueling their boats will be able to pay directly at the fuel dock using a new iPad payment system, eliminating the need to walk back to the marina office. In addition, crews will be constructing a walking path below the seawall to improve access to the gangways as water levels continue to drop.
As part of these adjustments, G-Dock slip holders will gradually relocate to the main marina. Boats currently located at the end of G-Dock will be able to remain there a little longer, as deeper water at the end of the dock provides additional flexibility.
While you'll notice a few changes around the marina in the coming weeks, it's business as usual on the water! The Dillon Marina is open for boat rentals, sailing lessons, scenic boat tours, stand-up paddleboard, and kayak rentals, fueling services, and more. Our team is committed to keeping you boating all season long and appreciates your patience as we adapt to the changing conditions.

Marina Mutt Show

Join us for our annual Marina Mutt Show a benefit for L.A.P.S. (League for Animals and People of the Summit).
Competitions include best trick, best high jump, best look-alike, doggie trivia, doggie ice cream eating contest and a silent auction. There are fantastic prizes from our local sponsors. All proceeds benefit L.A.P.S.
Registration and the silent auction begins at noon. Contest begins at 2 p.m.

Historical Boat Tours with Summit Historic Guides
Enjoy 360º views of the mountains and learn interesting facts about the Town of Dillon and the Dillon Reservoir during a 1 & 1/2 hour pontoon boat interpretive tour of Lake Dillon. Hosted by the Dillon Marina and the Summit Historical Society, you are guaranteed to learn something about Dillon that you hadn’t known before. Whether you're a history buff or just like the idea of relaxing out on the lake, it's a terrific way to spend a morning.
Historical Boat Tours are every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and second Saturday of the month. Tours from June 14 to August 30 will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Dillon Open Regatta
Friday, August 21 to Sunday, August 23
The Dillon Yacht Club extends a warm invitation to all sailors interested in participating in the 55th annual Dillon Open Regatta, the world’s highest regatta at 9,017 ft. above sea level.
Racing will be held on beautiful Lake Dillon, where you’ll enjoy sunny days and spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. Racing typically includes 6–8 races over two days, with dynamic course layouts using permanent marks in winds ranging from 6 to 25 knots, and more during stormy shifts.
Not a sailor? Purchase a ticket to ride along on a spectator boat. Whether you're sailing, spectating, or cheering from the marina, the Dillon Open offers a beautiful mountain‑lake weekend perfect for friends, families, and sailing enthusiasts alike.

Hello from the Marina!
The water level is currently at 8,995', about 22 feet below full. Our total net outflow is currently 230 cfs. While the low water is continuing to impact marina operations, we're taking steps to adapt and keep the marina operating safely and efficiently for as long as possible (see message above).
We are recommending that some boats on G Dock and mooring balls begin relocating to the main marina. We have assigned slips for every affected boat, so if you're unsure of your new slip assignment, please email me at mroamer@dillonmarina.com.
It's hard to believe we're already talking about this, but Fall Work Orders will be sent through MarinaGo in mid-August. Here are a few reminders:
- If you have an inboard or diesel engine and plan on hauling the boat out yourself and need us to winterize your engine, you must schedule your haul-out with the office so we can perform same-day winterization to avoid any issues with freezing temperatures.
- We are borrowing Frisco's pump out barge. You are welcome to use it yourself following the posted instructions or request we do it for you on your fall work order.
We are continually checking the water depths and launch ramp conditions, and we will notify you if we recommend any boats coming out of the water sooner than usual.
Our team is working hard and doing everything we can to ensure everyone can boat for as long as possible this season. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we navigate these changing conditions together.

The Dillon Marina in NO way represents the items posted in this section, nor has any knowledge of the condition of such items. All correspondence shall be kept between the listing and interested parties. No additional information will be provided by the marina.
The Dillon Marina will no longer be accepting boats for sale via email. If you have a boat-related item to sell, please fill out the Boats for Sale Form linked below. You can also use this form to let the marina know that a boat has been sold so we can remove it from the boats for sale listings. Boats for sale will only be listed for 3 months. If the boat is still for sale after that time period, the listing will be removed and a new form must be submitted.
