Crane Day looked a little different this year. Low water levels arrived earlier than expected, which meant we had to move the event up by a month to make sure we could safely haul boats from the reservoir. On September 18, in the span of just nine hours—from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.—our crew hauled 40 boats too large to come up the launch ramp.
Crane Day is always a special occasion at the Dillon Marina, and 2025 was no exception. We were blessed with beautiful weather and a rockstar crew. As always, our friends from K.P. Squared Crane made the trip down from northern Colorado to lend their expertise and heavy lifting power. Thanks to their help and teamwork across the board, the day went off without a hitch.
Now, with Crane Day behind us, it’s time to button up the marina for winter. We’re knee-deep in our fall service season, so if your boat needs work, please submit a work order as soon as possible to make sure it’s ready for next summer.

Marina Mutt Show
Thank You!
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the Marina Mutt Show this year! Your support helped us raise funds for the League for Animals and People of the Summit (LAPS), making a positive impact for pets and people in our community. From wagging tails to smiling faces, it was a day filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of puppy love. We’re grateful to every participant, sponsor, and volunteer who made the event such a success — we couldn’t have done it without you!

Back Office News
As we near the end of our rental period, let’s make the most of these last days of outdoor adventure. With that in mind, here are a few important reminders as we transition into fall and winter operations:
MarinaGO
All account and slip details, along with invoices, are now handled through MarinaGO.
- Invoices will come directly from MarinaGO.
- A 3% processing fee applies to all credit card payments.
- To avoid this fee, you’re welcome to pay by cash or check in person.
Fall Work Orders
All boaters should have received a Fall Work Order. If you haven't received yours, please contact myself or Maddie, and we’ll get one to you right away.
A few important notes:
- Any additional services must be written on the work order and approved by Phil Bretschneider.
- Expect at least 5 days from when your boat is ready before services are completed.
- Coordinate with marina staff before hauling your boat and please note our launch ramp hours are 9am- 4:30pm. If you need your boat winterized the same day it’s hauled, you must be scheduled on our calendar.
- If you’re requesting any major winter projects, submit those details early on the work order for review and approval by Phil.
Cold Weather Reminder
With nighttime temperatures beginning to dip, please remember:
- If you typically raise your engine so that the lower unit is out of the water, and the temperature falls below freezing, the lower unit could freeze and suffer serious damage.
- To prevent this, keep your engine and lower unit in the water when freezing temps are expected.
