Town of Dillon to Host Candidate Forum Ahead of Special Election
DILLON, CO – The Town of Dillon invites residents to attend a Candidate Forum on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, located at 275 Lake Dillon Drive. This forum provides an opportunity for the public to hear directly from the three current council members and four candidates ahead of the upcoming recall election.
Phil Lindeman from Krystal 93 will moderate and facilitate the event, which is scheduled to last 1.5 hours. The first hour will consist of introductions and pre-written questions for all seven participants, followed by a 30-minute session for public questions.
Participating Candidates
The forum will feature the three current council members facing recall:
- John Woods
- Renee Imamura
- Dana Christiansen
As well as the four candidates running for election:
- Linda Oliver
- Claudia Pillow
- Barbara Richard
- Joshua Samuel
The forum will be available for remote viewing via Microsoft Teams. The forum will be recorded and available on the Town of Dillon’s YouTube channel the following day.
Background Information
A special election has been scheduled for March 4, 2025, following the submission of petitions on November 12, 2024, seeking the recall of three current Town of Dillon Council Members: Dana Christiansen, Renee Imamura, and John Woods. Following verification of the petitions, the Dillon Town Council passed a resolution on December 10, 2024, setting the recall election for March 4, 2025.
