Town of Dillon Seeks Public Feedback on Design Considerations for New Marina Restaurant
Dillon, CO – The Town of Dillon invites residents and community members to attend a workshop to discuss and review design concepts for a new marina restaurant. The event will take place on Thursday, January 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Dillon Town Hall located at 275 Lake Dillon Drive.
This informal workshop provides an opportunity for the community to view proposed designs, explore planned amenities, and share their thoughts directly with town staff and the design team. Attendees are welcome to stop by at any time during the event to provide their feedback. Light refreshments will be provided.
The proposed restaurant will replace the old Crow’s Nest snack bar and picnic site that was demolished in 2012 in conjunction with the relocation of Marina Drive and the construction of the Dillon Marina Parking Lot.
Project Background
The journey to bring this new restaurant to life began when Dillon Town Council directed staff to explore a restaurant concept on the lakeshore. In February 2024, the Town issued a request for proposals to find an architectural consultant capable of developing concept designs. After receiving 18 submissions, the selection process moved forward with town staff members and the mayor reviewing proposals and narrowing the field to five finalists.
On April 22, 2024, the finalists were interviewed, and the Town selected Cushing and Terrell as the ideal design team. The contract with Cushing and Terrell was officially approved during the May 28, 2024, Town Council meeting.
What to Expect at the Workshop
- View concept architectural designs created by Cushing and Terrell.
- Learn about proposed amenities and features for the new marina restaurant.
- Provide feedback to help shape the project’s direction.
The Town of Dillon looks forward to working together with the community to ensure the new marina restaurant reflects the spirit and needs of its residents.
