Interested candidates can circulate nomination petitions from December 11 until December 23, 2024. To be valid, a petition must contain a minimum of twenty-five (25) signatures from registered voters residing in Dillon. This excludes unincorporated areas of Summit County, such as Dillon Valley, Summerwood, Summit Cove and Keystone. A registered elector shall not sign more than three nomination petitions for town council candidates.

Ballot Language and Determining Terms of Office
On the official ballot, for every officer whose recall is to be voted on, the words, “Shall (name of person against whom recall petition is filed) be recalled from the office of Dillon Town Council?” The voter shall indicate by marking a cross mark on either for, or against, such recall.
Below the recall questions, there will be printed the names of those person(s) who have been nominated as candidate(s) to succeed the person(s) sought to be recalled. All candidates on the ballot must be listed in alphabetical order.
If the vote in such recall election recalls the officer, the candidate who has received the highest number of votes for the office, thereby vacated, shall be declared elected for the remainder of the term, and a certificate of election shall be issued. If all three officers are recalled, the candidate who received the highest number of votes would replace the longest remaining term.
The terms being recalled for office are:
Dana Christiansen - term through April 2026
Renee Imamura - term through April 2026
John Woods - term through April 2028
