Back Office News
Karlee Mako
Hello All,
We ended August on a high note with the Dillon Open Regatta! It was a great weekend full of sailing, laughs and of course a few shenanigans. The Marina Mutt Show is this Monday, September 4. Don't miss out on this event that is fun for all... especially the furry ones!
As the summer days dwindle and turn into the cooler autumn months, it is time to start preparing for the end of the summer season at the marina. Here are some important reminders as things begin to wind down:
- The last day that boats can be in the water this year is October 15. Each day your boat is in the water past after October 15, you will be charged a daily rate and an additional fee for us to haul your boat out.
- Crane day is scheduled for October 18. If your boat needs to be craned, make sure everything you need to do on your boat is done before then.
- We are no longer using the portal system. Everything associated to your account and slip are now accessible through MarinaGO. All invoices will be sent from MarinaGO. All credit card payments will include a 3% processing fee. To avoid the fee you can pay cash in person or with a check.
- Everyone should have received a fall work order. If you have not received a fall work order and need one, please contact myself or Fran and we will send you a new one.
A few work order reminders:
- All additional services need to be written on the work order.
- Expect a minimum of five days after the date the boat is available for service before requested service will be done.
-
Confirm with a marina staff member before hauling your boat. If you need your boat winterized the same day it is hauled, we need to make sure we are able to get to it on that day.
- If you are looking for any additional large services to be done over the winter, make sure you request it on the work order as soon as possible. Once requested, Phil Bretschneider will confirm that service can be completed.
- The weather is cooling down at night, so if you normally pull your engine so that the lower unit is out of the water and if the temperatures at night drop below freezing, your lower unit could freeze causing permanent damage. If the weather is expected to be below freezing, please keep your engine and lower unit in the water.
As always, please reach out with any questions.
Thank you,
Karlee Mako
