Happy spring! We survived the cold, dark winter and we are looking forward to longer days and sunshine. Winter activities on the lake are winding down as we prepare for the lake to begin thawing. The Community Ice Rink boards were removed on March 17 and our ice operations team is continuing to maintain the Lake Loops. We expect all ice activities could close any day now. Keep an eye on our website and social channels for updates.
With the transition into spring, summer is in the forefront of our minds, and our staff is gearing up for a busy year. Are you or someone you know looking for a fun summer job? The marina is now hiring for all summer positions including Marina Administrative Lead, Marina ANS Lead, Marina Dock Attendant/Customer Service Agent, Marina Operations Assistant and Marina Rental Dock Lead. Join our team and have the best summer ever!

Ice Melt Contest
The Lake Dillon Ice Melt Contest is underway! The Ice Melt Contest is one of the Summit Rotary's flagship fundraisers. When the ice gives way, the clocks attached to the device go under water and stop working. Locals, visitors, and other astute guessers predict the exact time the clock will drop. The winning guess will receive a cash prize.

From the Crow's Nest
Craig Simson
Hello Everybody,
Up here in Summit County, it feels like it has been a while since we have seen the sun. It has been a great winter, but I think we are all looking forward to the spring. It has been such a good winter that I grew a beard and stored the visor for a while. The beard was grown on a bet with the crew and the visor just does not insulate quite enough. It is actually kind of fun! No one knows who I am!
Well, the time is coming soon. The sun popped out for a couple of days, and I can feel the visor’s energy coming back. I will probably set it out on the deck to recharge a little before just jumping straight back in, but the time is near!
We are starting to ramp up here for another great summer and are sincerely looking forward to seeing all of you again. In the meantime, there will be lots of spring skiing and mud.

Back Office News
Karlee Mako
Hello All,
With summer on the horizon, we have begun our spring boat service here at the Dillon Marina. If your boat is in need of service, and you need a work order, please reach out so I can send you a spring work order.
Remember, every service requires a work order, including trailer storage. Additionally, if you need any work done that is not on the work order, please make sure to write it in. For example, if you need your boat cover removed or stored, you must write in that service. If you have already filled out your work order, but forgot to add a service, feel free to email me the additional service, or give me a call and I can add it to your existing work order.
We will be opening up rental reservations and our pontoon tours on April 1. If you are looking to reserve a boat on a holiday or weekend, we recommend reserving as soon as possible, as we do book up.
As always, please email me with any questions.
Thank you,
Karlee Mako
