Marina Home | Reservoir Levels | Request a Work Order | Employment
There wasn't a dull moment at the Dillon Marina these past few weeks. Hockey players from all over Colorado, and from across the country, descended upon Dillon to participate in the Summit Youth Hockey Tournament and the Colorado Pond Hockey Tournament. Goals were scored, skates were sharpened and rivalries were renewed. Both weekends provided an incredible atmosphere of teamwork and camaraderie.
Who let the dogs out?! This past Saturday, Dillon hosted it's first dog sled races in over 20 years out on the Lake Loops. The event brought dog teams from all over the state and spectators got a firsthand look at the incredible sport that is dog sledding.
The Community Ice Rink and the Lake Loops are open to the public and free community amenities. They will be open through mid-March, weather permitting.
On March 7 at 10 a.m. Summit Search and Rescue and the Rotary Club of Summit County will be setting the ice melt clock on the reservoir. The Lake Dillon Ice Melt Contest is one of the Rotary's flagship fundraisers. The device is placed in the middle of the lake while it is still frozen. When the ice gives way, the clocks attached to the device go under water and stop working. Locals, visitors, and other astute guessers use a mixture of past drop times, skill, and luck to predict the exact time the clock will drop. The winning guess will receive a cash prize. Come on down to the marina on March 7 to check out the device before it heads out onto the reservoir.

Full Moon Party
Enjoy a night out on the lake, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and skating, as we celebrate the full moon in Dillon. There will be a DJ and light refreshments. The Lake Loops will be lit with small lights until 7:30 p.m. but make sure to bring a headlamp. All activities will begin and end at the bottom of the launch ramp by the Dillon Marina. This event is free to the public, just remember to bring your own equipment. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed.

From the Crow's Nest
Craig Simson
Hello Everybody,
I hope everyone has had the opportunity to enjoy a great Colorado snowpack this year. I recently traveled to BC, Canada for a “boys trip” to Revelstoke and Kicking Horse. Not a great snowpack up there but I enjoyed remarkable views and challenging terrain with a great group of friends. The good news is that the Blue River Basin snowpack should result in a full reservoir through our operating season. Denver Water predicts full or almost full through summer 2023. This comes as great news and means that we can hit the ground running in May. Let’s keep “thinking snow” for the region and hope that the Blue River Basin can keep water under the keel.
Spring is just around the next mark! We are all looking forward to another amazing Dillon summer!
Thank you,
Craig Simson
Back Office News
Karlee Mako
Hello All,
The renewal deadline is March 1, 2023. All leases must be signed, and invoices paid, by this date. If you do not take care of your payment and lease by March 1, it will be assumed that you will not be returning and you will forfeit your slip.
With renewals coming to an end, I will be filling any available slips with people on the waitlist. Once all slips are full, I will reach out and let those on the waitlist know we are full for the season.
Spring work orders went out on Feb. 15. If you want trailer storage for the summer, you must fill out a work order. Any additional services requested, such as putting the cover on your boat, need to be written in. We only complete the services listed on your work order. If you do not need your trailer stored or any other services, please select "reject the contract." If you want to make changes to a work order that has already been submitted, please email me and I will update your existing work order.
For our slip, storage and rack tenants we will be updating our software systems. This will help to make payments and contracts easier to deal with in the future but please have patience with us as we are learning the new systems too.
As always, please email me with any questions. Cheers to the new year and we hope to see you all soon.
Thank you,
Karlee Mako
