What an Autumn we've been enjoying in the high country! Things are moving along at the marina just as quickly as the leaves are changing and falling from the trees.

Crane Day went off without a hitch (read below) and Sunday, October 16th was the last day for boats without a work order to remain on the reservoir. The Docks are looking quite bare compared to the summer months.

The new rental dock is in place and the fuel system is operational. The marina will now be able to offer 91 octane, non-ethanol fuel all year round.

The stairs are set to be installed in early November. It's been a long summer of important infrastructure projects and we thank you all for your patience and understanding as we continue to improve our facilities to enhance our guests experience.

On Wednesday, October 12th the Dillon Marina, with the help of K.P. Squared Crane were successful in hauling 34 of the biggest boats out of the reservoir. Crane Day is an annual occurrence where we pull the boats that are too big or heavy to haul on the ramp. Our crew was amazing and we even set a new marina record for the most boats hauled in one day. Join us for a night of spooky fun at the Dillon Disc Golf Course. This family friendly event will take place on the Dillon Family Disc Course where you can collect treats while tossing discs into illuminated baskets. Come dressed in your best Halloween costume for your chance to win prizes. This event is free to attend and we will have plenty of discs to borrow if you don't have your own.

Hi Everybody,

What a beautiful fall! Mother Nature has been very kind this month and has allowed us to stay on target with our fall operations. You never know what you’re going to get in the Colorado High Country, so every sunny day is a gift.

In my time here, I remember only personally pulling off three “no hole” wrap jobs. Shrink wrapping is as much of an art as it is a skill. Think of it as using an open flame to apply winter window insulation. When it all goes well, I find it very satisfying. I would compare it to a well vacuumed room or just after I plow my road. This year, our crew is pulling off some of the best shrink wrap I have ever seen. It’s a testament to their work ethic and commitment to a job well done. Thanks guys!!!

Hey, guess what’s happening on October 29?! Obviously, it’s World Cat Day and the anniversary of the sinking of the Italian Liner “Mafalda” in 1927. On October 29^th, 2022, KARLEE IS GOING TO TIE THE KNOT!!! So, I have an idea for some great wedding gifts from our customers.

First, please be patient as Karlee and Will are going to take a couple of weeks off to finish planning and head to Mexico for their honeymoon. Karlee is by far the sharpest crayon in the marina toolshed so the rest of us will do our best to fill in the gaps.

Second……do everything Karlee says!!! Please take the time to ensure that you have communicated with us about your fall work orders and winter storage.

Hello All,

Happy October! I hope everyone got a chance to enjoy the changing leaves and the beautiful weather here in Summit County. What an amazing summer, we had so much fun this summer we wanted to share some of our favorite moments with all of you! See below for a selection of photos from the past summer months.

I will be invoicing fall work orders so please pay them as soon as possible. An interest rate of 1.5% per month will be applied to all unpaid bills beginning 30 days from the invoice date.

Any boats that are still in the water will need to fill out a work order for the marina to haul their boat as our boat ramp is now closed for the year. If you need a fall work order, please email me at karleef@dillonmarina.com.
