Denver Disability Pride Event: Celebrate Disability Pride Month with the City and County of Denver! The Human Rights & Community Partnerships’ Access for All division, the Mayor’s Office, and the Commission for People with Disabilities are hosting a public celebration on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The event takes place at the Central Denver Library in the Park View Room.
Come honor individuals with disabilities and the community that supports them. The celebration will welcome the Mayor, and features a special keynote presentation from a Deaf guest speaker. American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will be provided for the presentation as well as for mingling and casual conversations throughout the evening. Bring your friends and family out for a great night of community pride!
 Apply Now for the 2026 Nonprofit Security Grant: The Colorado Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) Team has shared new information about this year's NSGP. This grant helps local nonprofit groups pay for safety and security improvements. All applications are due to the State of Colorado by July 16, 2026.
To apply, your nonprofit must submit these items:
- The Investment Justification (IJ) Form: Important tip—you must download this form and open it from your computer's files. Do not try to fill it out inside your internet browser.
- Your Mission Statement: Written on your organization's official letterhead.
- A Security Assessment: A document showing the current safety and risk levels of the building or location you are applying for.
- An Application Certification Form
- Resumes or Bios: For the main people running the project.
You can download all the necessary forms and the official grant guide by visiting the shared Colorado NSGP Forms Folder. When you are ready to apply, or if you have any questions, email all of your documents to cdps_dhsem_nsgpadmin@state.co.us.
 Accessible Transit Services with RTD: The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking valuable feedback from individuals with disabilities, advocates, caregivers, and community partners as part of its Disability Community Engagement Plan (DCEP). Through these surveys, RTD wants to better understand current accessibility challenges, improve how rider feedback is received and addressed, and make it easier for everyone to navigate RTD services and departments. Your voice matters, and your input will directly help shape a more accessible transit system for the entire community.
