Gov. Jared Polis announced that State workers will be granted a Governor’s Holiday on Nov. 28, allowing staff to enjoy an extended weekend over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Many thanks to our employees who will be providing critical services at our 24/7 facilities on Nov. 27 and 28. Whether you use this time now or later, we hope you can spend it relaxing, participating in activities you enjoy or reconnecting with loved ones.
Instructions for requesting the holidays in Kronos:

Nov. 27 (Thanksgiving): Follow the step-by-step instructions in this Kronos job aid (Google Doc). You can make this request in Kronos now.
Full-time permanent employees will receive eight hours of holiday leave for Thanksgiving and eight hours of administrative leave for the Governor’s Holiday to be used within the fiscal year. Part-time staff will receive prorated leave grants based on the hours worked in the previous pay period of Nov. 1 to 14.
Staff on short-term disability and continuous FAMLI leave will not receive the Governor's Holiday.
