Good afternoon!
Thank you for your patience as your CDHS Leadership team made critical decisions in the midst of a major winter storm! We have taken into consideration not only our more than 5,000 employees, but also the people who count on us everyday.
I want to share my most sincere appreciation for all of our direct care and facility staff. Not only are they providing critical services to our veterans, patients, residents and youth on this snowy day, but their dedication and commitment to the people we serve is daily and in all weather conditions.
For our staff who are not direct care or facility staff:
- Denver metro-area public facing offices will close today (11/8) at noon.
- Denver-based staff who had already planned to work remotely today can end at noon.
If you have essential work supporting our counties, try to support their needs as most county offices are open.
The CDHS Leadership team will continue to work remotely through the remainder of the work day. More information about this plan will be shared by the end of the next pay cycle. If you have questions, talk with your leadership.
Please prioritize your safety and well-being, and thank you for all your hard work to serve our Colorado community!
Respectfully,
Michelle Barnes Executive Director, CDHS
