Dear Valued Early Intervention Families,
The Colorado Department of Early Childhood Early Intervention Program is committed to working with your community to give your children the best start possible. Even as we face an increased need for our services, a constrained state budget, and sunsetting federal stimulus funding, we are dedicated to supporting Colorado’s infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities. CDEC is committed to maintaining this best-in-class program while understanding that we have to make changes.
Since February, we have initiated broad community engagement, and your input, partnership, and understanding are critical to this program's future. Thank you for participating in EI Input Sessions to help us gather feedback so that we can be responsive to the Joint Budget Committee (JBC)’s request for information.
We are hosting an upcoming session where we will provide a summary of the RFI that will be submitted to the JBC on June 15, 2025. This RFI is based on the information we have received through this community engagement. ASL interpretation will be available, and we will offer Spanish captioning with support from a Bilingual Spanish-speaking team member.
Family-Friendly Request for Information (RFI) Summary for EI
CDEC and EI Colorado will resume biweekly Input Sessions in July. These 1.5-hour sessions are intended to address the rest of the suggested program sustainability strategies. These strategies will be presented as part of the second Request For Information due to the JBC in December 2025.
The updated Input Session schedule can be found here: NEW Revised - Upcoming Early Intervention Program Input Session Topics & Dates.pdf

Thank you for your continued partnership with Early Intervention Colorado.
