NEW Provider Handbook + Deadline Reminder to Set Up Your UPK Programs by Midnight, Feb 16!
Deadline Reminder: Provider Program Set Up must be submitted by midnight, this Friday, February 16 to be available for families to enroll in Colorado’s Universal Preschool Program with you when family registration starts in a few short weeks.
With your generous input throughout the year, please see the first version of an updated Provider Handbook for the 2024-2025 School Year! While an expanded version is expected, your early feedback is greatly appreciated through this link.
 Please note the program update on page 5 regarding 3-year-olds. Due to overwhelming input, school districts will resume primary registration for 3-year-old’s through their targeted 3-year-old program. This will reduce confusion regarding Colorado’s Universal Preschool Program, which primarily serves all children in Colorado in the year before kindergarten.
The Universal Preschool Program works closely with the Colorado Department of Education and Special Education, School Districts and Administrative Units (AUs) across the state to support any preschool aged child, including 3-year-old’s, with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to receive guaranteed funding aligned to the student’s IEP.

- Program Set Up is ONLY for pre-k programs for students in their year before kindergarten.
- Please double check the following program set up information to streamline the approval process. It is fine if some details need to change at a later date.
- Programs are accurate (correct programs listed, correct language of instruction listed)
- Seats are accurate (verify the number of each type of seat, for example number of seats for children with IEPs)
- Authorized signer full name, phone number, and email
