Finding Paths to Success: Helping Connect to Purpose
Brian Lovins (Keynote Speaker)
Recent research has revealed a sobering truth: our current approach to community corrections often fails to reduce recidivism and, in some cases, deepens justice involvement.
Community corrections remains largely focused on compliance and catching people failing rather than empowering staff to help individuals succeed. This approach affects the people under supervision and takes a toll on staff health, morale, and sense of purpose. This moment calls for more than reform—it demands a reimagining.
The coaching model offers a powerful alternative. Rooted in relationships, growth, and human potential, coaching strengthens accountability. It raises expectations, shifts focus from monitoring failure to cultivating success, and offers a renewed sense of hope and direction.
This session will introduce the four dimensions of effective coaching: approach, connection, playbooks, and success. Participants will learn how adopting these dimensions empowers staff to move beyond supervision and toward transformation, building a system that helps people find paths to success. They will also explore the barriers of existing practices, gain a deeper understanding of the coaching model, and learn actionable strategies to enhance staff performance and improve overall program outcomes.

Inspired: Motivated from the Inside Out
Knutson Speaks (Keynote Speaker)
What truly drives you? In this engaging and thought-provoking session, participants will explore both internal and external sources of motivation and learn how to harness them for lasting personal and professional impact. Through reflective exercises and practical tools, attendees will be empowered to challenge limiting beliefs, overcome imposter syndrome, and tap into their intrinsic motivation.
Participants will learn actionable strategies to overcome self-doubt, embrace their unique strengths, and connect with a deeper sense of purpose, their personal “why.” With renewed clarity and confidence, they’ll feel inspired to take meaningful action toward their goals and lead with greater intention, confidence, and authenticity.
