EARLY DUE DATE: Quarter 2 Payment Requests & Financial Reports (CVS Grantees) / Quarter 4 (State VALE Grantees)
Due to the State's fiscal year end deadlines, April-June 2025 Payment Requests and Financial Reports are due by July 7, 2025 for all grantees (except state agencies). Programmatic reports are still due on July 15, 2025. Read the full memo for additional important information regarding these deadlines. IMPORTANT: OVC PMT Reporting Update (VOCA Grantees only)
The April–June 2025 Performance Measurement Tool (PMT) report will open for all VOCA grantees in the PMT system on July 14, 2025, instead of July 1, 2025. This is later than usual but VOCA grantees are still expected to submit their quarterly PMT reports by July 15th. If you need an extension, reach out to your Grant Program Manager prior to the due date of July 15th.

Welcome to our new Grants Monitor!
Before joining the Office of Victims Programs, TobieLeigh Gallegos worked within the CDPS Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management's (DHSEM) Office of Grants Management Subrecipient Monitoring Team. Prior to her position with DHSEM, TobieLeigh worked in grant compliance at two different Universities. This past May, she celebrated her 17th year of doing compliance as well as started her first year as the National Grants Management Association (NGMA) Chapter Chair for the newly formed Rocky Mountain Region which includes members from Colorado, Montana, Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming. In her off time, TobieLeigh can be found working on home improvement projects, hanging out with her husband and pup, or making baby quilts and other items for Denver Health's NICU.

The Division of Criminal Justice Leads Historic Effort to Equip Law Enforcement with Tools to Combat Human Trafficking
Beginning July 2025, every new law enforcement recruit will be required to receive specialized training in identifying, investigating, and responding to human trafficking. For the first time in Colorado history, Colorado’s Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) program is recommending the use of a course tailored to train police academy cadets on how to recognize and understand human trafficking called Human Trafficking Investigations: An Introductory Course in law enforcement training.
This initiative, led by the Division of Criminal Justice’s human trafficking team, its Colorado Human Trafficking Council (CHTC), and local and state law enforcement officers, aims to equip police officers with the necessary tools to identify, investigate, and disrupt human trafficking operations within the state.

Join the CVS Advisory Board
The Crime Victim Services (CVS) Advisory Board is a 28-member board appointed by the Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Public Safety. The Board acts in an advisory capacity to the Department and the Division of Criminal Justice in making grant funding recommendations regarding State VALE, SASP, VAWA, and VOCA crime victim assistance projects.
The CVS Advisory Board is seeking applications for the following representatives:
- Tribal Representative from the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe
- Tribal Representative from the Southern Ute Tribe
- Local VALE Board Member Representative
