CY 2026 CVS Funding Opportunity Update
Application Materials
The OVP has updated the 2026 Crime Victim Services (CVS) Funding Opportunity Application, Announcement, Instructions, and Glossary of Terms. The application has been simplified, therefore, the due date will remain March 17, 2025.
IMPORTANT: Please download and use the updated version of the application.
Application Training
There are still three application training sessions remaining (content will be the same in person and virtually). The virtual trainings will be recorded and made available on our Open Funding Opportunities webpage.

System-Based Agency Applicants (In Person): OVP will be providing a training at the Victim Witness Directors Meeting from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on February 14, 2025 (No additional registration is required)

Need help with your Application for the CY 2026 Crime Victim Services (CVS) Grant Program Funds?
- Free assistance on completing your application (narratives, budget, etc.) is available to applicants through contracted consultants.
- Professional consultants with grant writing experience will talk or email with you about your application responses.
- Questions can be submitted via email to cvsgrantshelpline@gmail.com from January 22, 2025 to March 14, 2025 (*Please note that questions to the Helpline must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 13, 2025 to allow sufficient response time).

Free Masks and Hand Sanitizer!
The Office for Victims Programs has bottles of hand sanitizer and boxes of N95 masks available for pick-up at our office in Lakewood (700 Kipling St. Lakewood, CO 80215). Join the CVS Advisory Board
The Crime Victim Services (CVS) Advisory Board is a 28-member board appointed by the Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Public Safety. The Board acts in an advisory capacity to the Department and the Division of Criminal Justice in making grant funding recommendations regarding State VALE, SASP, VAWA, and VOCA crime victim assistance projects.
The CVS Advisory Board is seeking applications for the following representatives:
- Tribal Representative from the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe
- Tribal Representative from the Southern Ute Tribe
- Local VALE Board Member Representative
- Sheriff or Sheriff's Representative
- Elected District Attorney, Assistant District Attorney, or a Chief Deputy District Attorney Representative

- Activating Change is offering free remote trauma-informed Sign Language interpreting services to victim service organizations to reduce barriers for Deaf survivors seeking support. To request this service or learn more contact DeafAccess@activatingchange.org.
- The National Network to End Domestic Violence has released Teens and Tech: Safer Dating Toolkit. This toolkit is available in Spanish and English.
