Denver 7 News "Your Voice" Features City of Centennial
Denver 7 News recently featured the City of Centennial in a two-part series in their community outreach program called "Your Voice." The first part interviewed City of Centennial founding member John Brackney along with a few residents who spoke about their love of our City and their concerns. The second part featured Mayor Stephanie Piko and Council Member Marlo Alston who addressed the concerns and spoke of the partnerships the City has in place while highlighting what makes Centennial special - our people.

Workforce Innovation Summit 2025, presented by the Economic Development group of the South Metro Denver Chamber, is Wednesday, September 24 from 11:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at Arapahoe Community College (5900 S. Santa Fe Drive). The Workforce Innovation Summit will help you strengthen and grow your organization’s workforce with insight based on the leading-edge knowledge of experts who study Colorado’s economy and talent pipeline trends.

This career fair is open to all skill levels.

City Announcements
- Centennial's Chalk Art Festival returns Saturday, September 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Streets at SouthGlenn (13050 E. Peakview Ave.). Spend the day watching talented chalk artists transform the pavement into art masterpieces bursting with color and creativity. The festival will also feature local merchants and vendor booths, a free kids zone with a special chalk art area, and rock painting with the Centennial Arts and Cultural Foundation. Enjoy live music throughout the day, and new this year, the Children's Entrepreneur Market featuring over 40 booths from youth ages 5 - 17 selling their unique creations. There will be something for everyone! To celebrate the kick-off of Centennial's 25-year anniversary, enjoy free pancakes from 10 a.m. - Noon. Afterall, it's how it all started in 2000. This FREE, family-friendly event is presented by Commerce Bank as well as Jacobs.

On September 12, the City celebrates 25 years since 77% of voters approved the formation of the City of Centennial. What started out as five residents enjoying a pancake breakfast in the summer of 1998 has grown into a connected community of more than 100,000 residents and the #1 Best Place to Live in Colorado by U.S. News & World Report in its newly released 2025-2026 rankings. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and excited for what’s ahead.
